Style Guides

Style Guides
Microsoft Style Guides are collections of rules that define language and style conventions for specific languages. These rules usually include general localization guidelines, information on language style and usage in technical publications, and information on market-specific data formats

Language Interface Packs (LIP)s

Language Interface Packs (LIP)s
The most commonly used features within specific Microsoft products and operating systems have been localized to a language interface through a LIP. Downloaded free of charge, each LIP enables you to install a local language version as a "skin" on top of an existing installation of the Windows operating system and standard Microsoft Office system applications. This gives you the unique ability to use the technology in a language that is familiar and that honors your linguistic and cultural distinctions.

Microsoft Local Language Program

Microsoft Local Language Program
The Microsoft Local Language Program provides people access to technology in a familiar language while respecting linguistic and cultural distinctions. The program aims to empower individuals in local communities to create economic opportunities, build IT skills, enhance education outcomes, and sustain their local language and culture.

Official Explanation

Official Explanation

"Internet Explorer allows scripts to programmatically open, resize, and change the position windows of various types. The Window boundaries security feature restricts popup windows and prohibits scripts from displaying windows in which the title and status bars are not visible to the user or obfuscate other Windows' title and status bars.
If you enable this policy setting, happen windows and other restrictions apply for Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer processes.
If you disable this policy setting, scripts can continue to create popup windows and windows that obfuscate other windows.

If you do not configure this policy setting, popup windows and other restrictions apply for Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer processes."
